My name is Kursti, and I’m the proud mom of 3 beautiful girls!
Maveryk, our spirited three-year-old, runs the show with her sharp vocabulary, infectious laughter, and just the right amount of sass to keep us all on our toes!
Brantleigh, our sweet and shining 10-year-old, lights up every room with her creative dance moves, contagious laughter, and the warmest hugs. She has a heart full of love—and makes sure everyone around her feels it!
And Jentri, our vibrant, strong, and inspiring 13-year-old girl. Our journey hasn’t been an easy one. For over seven years, we searched for answers to explain her chronic symptoms—doctors’ visits, tests, misdiagnoses, and so many moments of frustration and fear.
Eventually, we were given not one, but two rare diagnoses: Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD) and Atypical Cystic Fibrosis. Each of these conditions is rare on its own—but having both? That makes Jentri what some lovingly call a “medical unicorn.”
While the relief of finally having answers brought comfort, what followed was an unexpected emptiness: a lack of awareness, community, and representation. We scoured the internet for clothing, accessories, or anything that would help Jentri feel seen and empowered—but we found nothing that truly reflected her journey.
So, I decided to create it myself.
That’s how Breath In Bloom Collective came to life—a heartfelt project turned small business, dedicated to spreading awareness, advocating for those with rare lung conditions and other chronic illnesses while celebrating the unique beauty of every diagnosis.
